Firozabad, UP, Dec 29, : , Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gujarat Vadra stated Wednesday that if women are aware of their rights as well as unite, they will soon have a significant presence at the Parliament.Priyanka spoke at a ‘Shakti Samvad’ programme in this city and said leaders are aware that they will get votes in the caste name, so they don’t bother to keep their promises.
According to the Congress leader, after her campaign for women was launched other parties began recognising female voters’ power.
It is time to elect a party which does not speak about caste but wants to empower people.
She said that leaders won’t take you for granted if you vote together on important issues.
Priyanka stated that government increasingly prefers privatisation which will mean that reservation benefits are slowly disappearing.
The government works for its wealthy friends while the poor suffer.She said that farmers and women suffer because of rising prices.
Further, the Congress leader stated that women will vote for their empowerment if they vote for Congress.
Priyanka visited the house of a woman who made bangles earlier.
She had tea and chatted to the women.
