The Nampally court on Monday extended the judicial custody of YS Bhaskar Reddy till April 29.Bhaskar Reddy was arrested by the CBI on April 16 in connection with the murder case of former Parliamentarian YS Vivekananda Reddy.
YS Bhaskar Reddy is the father of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy.Before Bhaskar Reddy, the CBI sleuths have arrested Uday Kumar Reddy, a close aide of Avinash Reddy on April 14.
The Telangana high court granted the CBI six days custody of Uday Kumar Reddy and YS Bhaskar Reddy for questioning from April 19- 24.As the six day custody period of Bhaskar Reddy and Uday Kumar Reddy ended on Monday, the Nampally court extended YS Bhaskar Reddy’s remand till April 29 and Uday Kumar Reddy remand till April 26.
The two were shifted to the Chanchalguda jail back in the evening after the court hearing.
On the other hand, the CBI officials have also questioned former Kadapa SP Rahul Dev Sharma on Monday who was part of the Special Investigation Team constituted by the TDP government in the immediate aftermath of the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder in March, 2019.
