Mumbai 12th September : An visually impaired contestant Aneri Arya has shared with the superstar Amitabh Bachchan that she is a huge admirer of his 2005 film “Black” starring Rani Mukerji on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 14’.Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali , “Black” was released in 2005.
It also features Shernaz Patel and Dhritiman Chatterjee in supporting roles.The film tells the life of Michelle who is deaf and blind woman as well as her friendship with her instructor Debraj an alcoholic who is elderly who later develops Alzheimer’s disease.
Arya adds she feels she is able to connect with the narrative of the film because she herself is blind, and she has an enormous amount of support she receives from her schoolteacher.
She says: “Sir, you have played the role of teacher in the movie (Black) and with your influence, the character of Rani Mukerji was capable of expressing herself and develop.Like that, I have an instructor as my PhD guide, Dr.Sunil Shah.”
For Aneri there was nothing more thrilling than a hotseat ride and talking to Big B about her favourite book , movie, and food.
The contestant is from Surat, Gujarat, the 26-year-old contestant of the ‘KBC 14’ is an assistant professor of English at Shree Bhaikaka Sochitra Government Arts and Science College.
In a chat with the host, she acknowledges her parents for assisting her finish her studies.She also speaks about Gujarati food.
Aneri states: “Mr Bachchan and I have had many of conversations.I shared with him my most loved book The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka and my favourite film of his”Black”.My parents also spoke with Mr Bachchan during the film, and my mother talked to him about bringing me out of the nest, while my father talked to him how pleased he is of my journey.”
Aneri Arya will take the spotlight in the reality show that is based on questions “Kaun Banega Crorepati 14′ on Sony Entertainment Television.
