The 28-year-old Srinivasa Gowda, hailing from Moodabidri in Dakshina Kannada district might well etch his name in Guinness Book of World Records soon.Though yet-to-be verified officially, Srinivasa Gowda reportedly ran 142.5 meters in just 13.62 seconds.This took place at the annual Kambala, a Buffalo Race event, in Karnataka.
Along with two buffaloes, he ran along the muddy waters and finished the race in the quickest time among the participants present at the event.
Though this hasn’t been officially recorded, people who witnessed the event were shocked looking at his pace.
‘He ran like a hybrid version of Usain Bolt.If he covered 142.5 meters in 13.62 seconds, it is like covering 100 meters in just 9.55 seconds.Usain Bolt holds the world record for covering 100 meters in 9.58 seconds.it is still a great achievement even if Srinivasa Gowda has taken 10 seconds to cross the 100-meter mark.The fact that he is running in muddy waters, and not a running track tells us about his true potential’, said a local authority.
