Leo’s release hasn’t been the joyful occasion Vijay’s fans hoped for.The highly anticipated film, set to come out on October 19, still doesn’t have a confirmed time for its first screening.
The production company, Seven Screen Studio, asked the Madras High Court to permit early morning showings, but the court declined the 4 a.m.request and urged the government to reconsider its decision to not allow 7 a.m.shows.The state is yet to make a final decision.
In the Telugu version of the film, Leo faces another issue.A City Civil Court has issued an order to delay the release until October 20.This is due to a case filed by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainment, who claims the rights to the title ‘Leo’ and insists the filmmakers change the name.
This is another setback for Vijay and the film, but despite the obstacles, expectations for Leo are incredibly high.
Except for Tamil Nadu, the film has early morning showings in Kerala, Karnataka, and Puducherry.
Sithara Entertainment is expected to release a statement on the matter soon.
Meanwhile, ticket sales for Leo have been outstanding.Experts predict the film will earn more than Rs 70 crore on the first day, and it has the potential to outperform Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Jailer’ also features Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Gautam Menon, and Arjun in significant roles. The film will be released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.Anirudh Ravichander, who had great success with ‘Jailer’, has also composed the songs for Leo.
