 Tholi Prema Review-TeluguStop.com

What’s it about :

Adithya (Varun Tej) meets Varsha (Raashi Khanna) in a train and falls in love immediately.Both study in the same college where feelings blossom between them.But an ego clash leads to breakup.Adithya moves away to London.

Years later, surprisingly, Varsha comes into Adithya’s life again working in the same company and leading him in the team.There starts an intense drama between them.

Did Adithya – Varsha reunion happen? See the story getting unfolded in theaters.

Artists and Performances :

Varun Tej as Adithya is truly impressive.This guy has again delivered a sensible performance without going over the board anywhere.He carried a boy next door and a working man who looks dapper, both efficiently.He sounds sensible in emotional scenes.Raashi Khanna is astonishing.

How long it has been seeing Raashi this good on screen? Probably, she had the best part to play after Oohalu Gusagusalade.Rashi as Varsha should be highlighted in her filmography.

Quite a couple emotional scenes will mark her as a potentially good actress.Way to go girl.

Hyper Adi was supposed to be a relief thing in the high intense drama in the second half.Priyadarshi is wasted.

Technical Talk :

Cinematography is a high.George C Williams has presented the film beautiful like a canvas.

You can see the budget in every single frame.Thaman is impressive another time.

The songs are good and background score doesn’t fall short of our expectations.He is on a roll.

Editing could have been better in the second half.Even in first half, it’s not sharp but passable scenes make it look good.

The narration could only be the problem for this movie.Production values are super rich.

Analysis :

How risky it is to take a classic title and make a urbane romantic movie with it? Although Venky Atluri didn’t spoil it, the title looks heavy for this not so great love saga.The film is definitely a fresh breeze rom-com with a pair which can emote and good moments.

But the slow narration and hardly any new moments make it a decent watch but not a repeat value movie like Fidaa.The films deals a subject which we are very much aware of.Immaturity in first love and how the same love progresses into a matured feeling, the filmmakers dealt with a realistic love – ego – breakup thing in our lives.Tholi Prema is a decent to good watch for urbane audience.

B, C centers wouldn’t run after the film like they did for Fidaa.

Plus Points :

* Varun – Raashi Pair

* Cinematography

* Music

Minus Points :

* Flat narration

* Second half

* Just passable scenes, nothing like a turn on

Brief Note :

Passable but not arresting

Rating : 2.75/5
