“The Kerala Story” Film Release Delayed in UK due to Age Rating Process

The movie "The Kerala Story" starring Adah Sharma in the lead role is doing very well at the box office in India.The director of the movie, Sudipto Sen, announced that it will also be released in over 40 other countries on May 12.

However, the films release in the United Kingdom had to be postponed as it did not receive an age rating from the British Board of Film Certification (BBFC) on time.A cinema operator in the UK said that the films shows had to be cancelled because it did not receive an age rating on time.

The BBFC tweeted that they are still in the process of classifying the film, and that it will be available for screening in the UK once it has received an age rating and content advice from the board."The Kerala Story" is directed by Sudipto Sen and stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani in the lead roles.The movie has been very successful in India and has earned more than Rs.100 crore.It has been declared tax-free in some Indian states but banned in West Bengal by the states chief minister, Mamata Banerjee.
