Congressman Tummala Nageswara Rao’s recent comments regarding Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao have sparked a reaction from BRS leaders in Khammam. They have voiced their concerns, emphasizing that Rao may not possess the moral standing to criticize the Chief Minister, according to statements made by Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, Nama Nageswara Rao, MLC Tata Madhusudhan, and Kandala Upender Reddy, who is the BRS candidate for Wyra.
Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, in particular, expressed skepticism over Tummala’s assertion that he played a significant role in securing a ministerial position for KCR.He noted that Tummala did not actively participate in the Statehood movement nor did he vocalize support with a ‘Jai Telangana’ slogan. In contrast, KCR’s track record shows a consistent and unwavering dedication to the cause, even in the face of challenges.
Ajay Kumar also remarked on the impact of former MPs Poguleti Srinivas Reddy and Tummala on the prestige of the BRS.He contended that their influence did not enhance the party’s reputation, and, in fact, may have had detrimental effects in the erstwhile Khammam district.Allegedly, Tummala’s actions resulted in adverse consequences for various leaders’ political careers.
Additionally, concerns were raised about his acquisition of extensive farmland subsequent to assuming a ministerial role, prompting allegations of misinformation.
This exchange of viewpoints highlights the differing perspectives within the political landscape, and it remains to be seen how these discussions will shape the course of future political developments in the region.
