Most parts in Telangana submerged in heavy rains, and the state government has come forward to offer help.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced a financial package of Rs 550 crore as an immediate help to flood-affected areas of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) including GHMC.Accordingly, the Municipal Administration department has also received the funds to implement the relief operations from Tuesday onwards.

Because of heavy rains and waterlogging in several regions, people have been suffering severe losses, not even able to get essential commodities.Hence, CM KCR has announced that the State government will provide one lakh rupees each for completely collapsed houses and Rs 50,000 each for partially damaged ones.

Besides, the flood-affected people are going to get an assistance of Rs 10,000 as part of the relief operations.

Reports say almost 50 persons died in Telangana state at various places due to the never-before-seen rains.

The GHMC and neighbouring municipalities alone recorded nearly 33 deaths due to heavy rains.The government has already announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each of them.
