The Telangana State Assembly session has been adjourned for three days due to torrential rains across the state.It is learned that the government has already declared 28th as a holiday for government offices and educational institutions in the state in the wake of continuous torrential rains.
All the public representatives in the state have to be at the field level in their respective constituencies to monitor the rains and flood conditions from time to time and be available to the people.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR issued directives to the state public representatives on handling the situations.
The Telangana government has set up relief centres to evacuate people in the low-lying areas to safer places.Also, the state government directed the officials to shift people neat the ancient structures to safer places in case of emergency.
In this context, if the Assembly convenes, all the people’s representatives will have to be confined to the capital city by leaving ahead of the relief operations.Therefore, Assembly sessions were adjourned for three days in Telangana.
With this, all the public representatives will be available to the people in their respective constituencies, and they monitor the relief activities.The Telangana Assembly will reconvene on October 1 at 10 am.
