Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao cautioned people not to be swayed by the Congress’ promises, as they are striving to regain power in Telangana after not prioritizing the region’s progress for years.
He emphasized that Congress treated the people of Telangana as if they were less important for a long time.He recalled an instance when the then chief minister of unified Andhra Pradesh, N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, refused to allocate any funds to Telangana.
The BRS president, who addressed his party’s campaign public meetings in Jadcherla and Medchal, said all the hard work over the past 10 years would come to naught if the Congress comes to power.“If the Congress comes to power,” Chandrashekar Rao warned, “all of this progress will be undone.”
Chandrashekar Rao asserted that Telangana wasn’t a gift from the Congress; it was achieved through a 15-year struggle. He highlighted the sacrifices made for this cause.
He also pointed out that the progress of the past decade could be in jeopardy if Congress were to come back into power.
He warned that all the advancements made could be reversed.
Chandrashekar Rao shared an example of how the Congress government neglected irrigation in the Palamuru region, showing a lack of concern for the area’s needs.
He praised the transformation from a time of water scarcity to now having sufficient power, water, and irrigation. He mentioned the substantial increase in paddy cultivation and the green transformation of Palamuru.
Looking ahead, he promised more improvements, including additional housing for the poor, better facilities for newcomers in Hyderabad, and enhanced benefits for various groups.
He urged people to vote for BRS candidates, emphasizing that their progress shouldn’t be jeopardized by a change in leadership.
