Telugu Desam Party senior leader and former TDP MLA Kagitha Venkatrao has recently passed away.He had been suffering from heart problems for some years and recently his health had further deteriorated.
His family members rushed him to a private hospital in Vijayawada.He died today while receiving treatment in the hospital.
Venkatrao, who had earlier contested as an MLA from the Pedana constituency and won, held several important positions during the TDP regime.He has held several positions such as Chief Whip of the Government, Chairman of the State Public Undertaking Committee, and Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.Venkatrao is of 71 years of age.He had health problems.Against this backdrop, Venkatrao has been staying away from politics for some time.
However, Venkatrao’s son Kagitha Krishna Prasad has been in politics and continuing his father’s legacy.His daughter is a doctor.Many politicians, senior leaders, and businessmen mourned the death of Kagitha Venkatrao.
Venkatrao, who is suffering from heart problems, has also undergone bypass surgery in the past.However, his health condition deteriorated and he died.Venkatrao’s funeral was held at Nageswararaopeta village in Andhra Pradesh.
