Andhra Pradesh State Assembly sessions begin.Opposition leaders protested the budget, which began Friday morning.
TDP MLAs and MLCs, led by TDP general secretary Lokesh, staged a protest rally from the secretariat fire station to the assembly.TDP leaders have lashed out at the government over the bankruptcy of Andhra Pradesh’s economy.
TDP leaders alleged that the YCP government had spent Rs 93,000 crore in the last budget without budget approval.The government has been criticized for lacking financial discipline.
Speaking to media on the occasion, TDP Legislative Party Deputy Leader Gorantla Buchiah Chowdhury expressed concern over the attitude of the YCP government in the budget.Buchiah Chowdhury questioned whether there was a government affair as to whether the budget was legitimate and where the funds had gone in relation to unaccounted expenditure.
Buchiah alleged that budget funds were being diverted to Tadepalli Palace.
He said that the YCP government has introduced the last two budgets by guiding the numbers.
He said that YCP leaders, including CM Jagan, had campaigned for the promotion of DSPs to the same caste during the TDP government.The state Home Minister on Thursday replied in the House that the promotions of DSPs were done regularly for all castes.
Buchiah Chowdhury demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister for spreading lies.
