In the caption, she recalls the moment when Prabuddha informed her that she was his first-ever Miss Universe to be photographed.Proudly, Sushmita responded that she was actually India’s first-ever Miss Universe.

Back in 1994, Sushmita competed against participants from 77 countries and emerged as the winner, becoming the first Indian woman to hold the Miss Universe title.That year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also won the Miss World title.
