New Delhi, Aug 24 : Sony India on Wednesday launched a new shotgun microphone – the ECM G1 — that is believed to be extremely portable and ideal for content creators to record high-quality audio.The price is Rs 10,290.
the ECM-G1 is a big-diameter microphone capsule that focuses sound and blocks out the sound.
“The ECM-G1 is the ideal microphone for interviews and vlogging.
It can clearly record voices and has a windscreen to cut down on the noise of wind while shooting outside, and comes with an optimized frame with dampers that reduce the sound of vibration,” the company said in an announcement.
“The cableless design blocks cable-generated vibration noise when connected to the Sony camera with the Multi-Interface (MI) shoe,” it added.
The company claimed that ECM super-cardioid G1’s pattern of pick-up emphasizes clear sound capture from in the front of the camera with minimal background noise to ensure that only audio that is wanted is captured — perfect for selfie-shooting.
Even indoors, the ECM-1, which is available in offline and online stores, minimizes echo reflections due to walls as well as voice reverberation resultant in clear sound recordings of conversations the company said.
Sony stated the recording cable was included as well as a microphone jack that is compatible with an array of devices, including smartphones and cameras providing users with the maximum versatility for a variety of shooting needs.
