Khammam district Karepally police on Saturday remanded six people for making indecent remarks on Chief Minister KCR on social media.Sanath Nagar police have registered a case against two others for making indecent remarks on the CM.
An unidentified person edited the CM KCR image adding inappropriate comments.It was sent by Ponnekantisuresh, a native of Gollapada, Khammam Rural Zone, to Hatkar Rambabu of Bokkala Tanda, Karepally Zone.
The image was created by Janaganti Arjun New Pocharani Kondamidi Koteshwara Rao, Khammam District Thiramalayapalem Zone Eluru Goodem resident Nela Marri Narayana and Nagendriah of Patarlapadu in various WhatsApp groups.
Ajmeera Veeranna, a TRS leader from Karepally, who saw these, lodged a complaint with the police.
The police, who registered the case, arrested the two on the basis of their phone numbers, produced them in court and shifted them to the sub-jail.
The TRS leaders had lodged a complaint with the Sanath Nagar police in Hyderabad alleging that a person named Ashok had posted insulting remarks against the CM and the TRS party on Facebook, alleging that the post is an insult to KCR in an account under the name of a news website on Twitter.
