‘The Family Man’ is all set to return for a second season on Amazon Prime Video, as the streaming platform shared the release date on Thursday evening.The spy thriller stars Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, who tries to find a balance between his high-stakes job as a National Intelligence Agency (NIA) agent and trying to keep his family safe from the perils that come with the occupation.
Samantha Akkineni will be seen playing the antagonist in the TV series and fans are awaiting the release as this is the first time the actress will be seen in a negative role. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K are the makers of this show.
Amazon Prime Video officially confirmed 12th February 2021 as the launch date for the new season of its award-winning show, ‘The Family Man 2’.The makers also released a poster featuring Manoj Bajpayee standing by placing his two hands on dining table chairs while he is giving an intense look into the camera.Behind him is a wall picture and a web drawn around them to connect some events.
A side profile of Samantha has also emerged that is made from a collage of pictures that seems to stand out.
“The one question we were asked for the last 16 months is – when is season 2 coming.Our team has worked from home through the pandemic and amidst all the constraints to complete the season,” said Raj and DK, creators of ‘The Family Man’ upon interviewing.The Amazon Original Series features an ensemble cast, including Priyamani, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwantary, among others.
