SS Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus periodical yet-to-be-titled film #RRR is shattering records even before its release.With the movie set to release for 2021 Sankranti to make the most of the holiday season, the buyers have already purchased the theatrical rights for the movie.
SS Rajamouli’s last film, Bahubali 2 pre-release business stood at Rs 125 crores in the Telugu states alone.
According to sources, RRR pre-release business in Telugu states reportedly stood at Rs 209 crores at the time of writing.
We already broke the news that Dil Raju offered Rs 75 crores for Nizam rights.Rajamouli duly has accepted the ‘offer-he-cannot-reject’ and closed the deals for other regions.
Dil Raju purchased Nizam rights for Rs 75 Crores, Producer Naveen from Mythri Movies spent a record sum of Rs 15 crores for Krishna district rights.Similarly, UV Creations bagged Guntur district rights for Rs 18 crores, UV Creations partner Vamsi bought Nellore theatrical rights for Rs 9 Crores.
Bharat & Raju and Praveen & Bunny secured the East Godavari and West Godavari theatrical rights for Rs 18 Crores and 14 Crores respectively.
Prominent producer-cum-distributor Korrapati Sai bagged the Vizag and Ballari region rights for a staggering sum of Rs 24 Crores, and Ceded region rights for 36 crores.
Trade analysts predict that RRR pre-release business can touch Rs 600 Crores including satellite and digital rights.
