Recall Tesla’s FSD’manslaughtering’ technology: Former US prez nominee

San Francisco, Aug 11 : Former US presidential candidate Ralph Nader has called Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology as one of the “most reckless and dangerous actions” of a car maker in the past few decades.
Nader is a politician and consumer advocate, has urged the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the US to eliminate FSD technology from each Tesla.

According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk Tesla, the technology is currently available in more than 100,000 vehicles.

“Tesla shouldn’t have installed this kind of technology in their vehicles.

Today, more than 100,000 Tesla owners are using technology that research suggests that it fails every hour,” Nader said in an announcement at the end of Wednesday.

“I am calling federal regulators to immediately take action to stop the increase in death and injuries resulting from Tesla manslaughtering collisions with this kind of technology” he added.

This week this week, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in California accused Tesla of making false claims regarding its Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) features.

The agency stated in its report it believes that Tesla “wrongly suggests” that cars fitted with the technology operate on their own.

The NHTSA has been looking into Tesla as well as its Full Self-Driving technology for several years.

“NHTSA must exercise its recall authority for safety to require that the FSD technology be removed in every Tesla.

This country should not permit this malfunctioning software to continue,” Nader added.Nader.

“No person is exempt from the law of manslaughter,”” he added.

Tesla drivers must pay an additional $12,000 to get the FSD system, which includes with automatic parking, auto changing of lane, and the ability for drivers to summon a car from a parking area to the spot they are.

On Tesla’s Q2 earnings conference call, Musk declared that the cost of FSD Beta might go up at the end of this year.
