Actor Rajkummar Rao recently played the role of a police officer in the movie ‘Bheed’ directed by Anubhav Sinha.The film is based on true events and was released in theatres on March 24.During promotions for the movie, the actor addressed rumours about him undergoing plastic surgery to alter his appearance.However, Rajkummar denied these rumours and stated that he had not undergone any plastic surgery.

He further added that he just smiles when he hears such things.

Rajkummar made his debut in the film industry with a small role in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rann’ in 2010.

Later, he was selected as one of the leads in Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ in the same year.In the past, the actor has shared his experiences of being rejected as a hero due to his looks, height, and build.

He even shared an incident where he was rejected because of the shape of his eyebrow.

During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Rajkummar was shown a comment from Reddit asking if he had undergone plastic surgery.

However, the actor denied undergoing any such surgery and said that it was just a rumour.

In 2013, he won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the biopic ‘Shahid,’ directed by Hansal Mehta.

The movie tells the story of Shahid Azmi, who fought for people’s rights and worked as a lawyer.He was killed in Mumbai in 2010.

He was also appreciated for his performance in the movie ‘Badhaai Do,’ where he played the role of a closeted police officer.

The actor’s latest appearance was in the Vasan Bala directed neo-noir thriller ‘Monica O My Darling’ alongside Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte, Sikandar Kher, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor.The movie was released on Netflix on November 11, 2022.

Rajkummar is also starring in the Dharma Productions film ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ alongside Janhvi Kapoor.

He will be seen playing the role of industrialist Srikanth Bolla in his biopic ‘Sri,’ which is set to release later this year.Additionally, he will also be seen in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming period drama series ‘Guns & Gulaabs’ alongside Dulquer Salmaan and Adarsh Gourav.The series will be released on Netflix.
