San Francisco, Aug 26 : The economy of creators has grown by more than 165 million creators in the past two years , to be at 303 million across the globe as a new study has revealed.
The economy of the creator has grown in the US by 34 million new creators, Brazil (73 million), South Korea (11 million) and Spain (10 million) according to Adobe’s “Future of Creativity report.

“One in four people are creators, contributing videography, photography, imaginative writing and other online spaces like blogs and social media platforms,” the report mentioned.

Generation Y now comprise 42 percent of the economy of creators, while Gen Z is 14 percent.

Nearly 48 percent of creators are driven by the same motivation the freedom of expression, but less than one third of creators are motivated by money.

Influencers are just 14 percent of the global economy of creators according to research findings.

“Individuals and small business owners, solopreneurs and content creators are now able to create and explore artistic and creative explorations in innovative ways,” said Scott Belsky executive vice president and chief product officer of Adobe Creative Cloud.

“Increasingly creatives of every walk of life are turning their ideas and interests into exciting ventures and careers powered by Adobe’s creative tools,” he added.

While 17 percent of entrepreneurs are business owners, 39 percent want to be an entrepreneur one day.

In the case of the vast majority of creators, it’s an interest or a side business and the report found that six in 10 creators work full-time jobs, the report stated.

Security of housing and food, social justice , and climate change are among the top priorities of issues that are most important for creators across the globe.

The majority of creators (69 percent) as well as influencers (84 percent) said that creating and sharing online is a means of expression they don’t have elsewhere, according to the report.
