Minister KTR submits online links as evidence in defamation suit

Telangana State IT Minister KTR is fighting a legal battle over allegations made by Telangana state PCC chief Revanth Reddy.KTR filed a defamation suit against Rewanth Reddy in the Hyderabad City Civil Court on September 20, 2021.

On this occasion, he took to his official Twitter handle and said that he has filed a defamation suit in the court against TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy for his objectionable remarks.

However, the court dismissed the KTR petition stating that the petition has no evidence.

Against this backdrop, Minister KTR today submitted evidence to the petition filed in the court.

A total of Rs 1 crore has been sued for defamation.

In addition, Minister KTR submitted to the court the evidence such as videotapes of Revanth Reddy, website posts and articles required to prove false allegations against him.

KTR told the court that he had a good reputation as an MLA and a minister in the state, the country and the world.However, he alleged that the allegations of Revanth Reddy might result in tarnishing his image.

KTR asked the court to delete all the allegations made by the persons concerned in a defamatory manner on all social media accounts.

The minister asked that those who made the allegations without evidence be punished legally.
