“While we have artifacts, and some actual material the archive is more focused on ideas,” she was quoted as saying.

The archive begins with the poetic email Steve Jobs sent to himself about his admiration for humanity.

“I did not invented the transistor as well as the microprocessor, object-oriented programming, or any of the technologies I am working with.I am awestruck and enthralled by my species, both dead and living and am completely dependent upon them for my existence and well-being” he wrote.

The archive online also contains his famous address to the commencement ceremony in 2005 at Stanford University in the US as well with other audio and video addresses.

“With regard to the past, and anticipation for the future The Steve Jobs Archive offers people the tools and opportunities to contribute to the world,” according to the website.

“We are creating programs, fellowships, collections and partnerships that reflect Steve’s ideals and carry his spirit of possibilities to the next level,” it added.

The archive will “act as an archive of historical documents relating to Steve and his work, some of that have never been made available”.

Steve Jobs worked closely with legendary designer Jony Ive to create a range of products with larger cultural implications. It all started with Apple Store, App Store (iOS), iMac, iPad, iPod, iPhone, iTunes, and iTunes Store.
