Madhoo mentioned that she had played significant roles in movies like “Roja” (Tamil), “Annayya” (Kannada), and “Yodha” (Malayalam) before shifting to Mumbai, where she mostly worked in Hindi films. However, she confessed that she disliked shooting and was unhappy about returning to the kind of films that featured action heroes dominating the industry during the 90s.Despite her love for dancing, Madhoo felt dissatisfied and decided to quit. She even wrote a letter to everyone, expressing her intention to leave the industry, though she now realizes it was a result of her childhood arrogance.

Madhoo further expressed her concerns about not getting appropriate roles as she ages. While she has no problem with growing older, she doesn’t want to be limited to playing the role of Ajay Devgn’s mother, which is a possibility given their similar age. However, she is grateful for the positive changes happening in the industry, citing the example of Tabu and Devgn doing a film where both actors were of the same age.Madhoo believes that such changes are opening up new opportunities for actresses like her.

Having made her Bollywood debut in 1991 opposite Ajay Devgn in “Phool Aur Kaante,” Madhoo now has two upcoming Malayalam films.Throughout her career, she has worked in various languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
