German authorities received enough evidence to prove that Multani was wanted in India, and is part of a larger conspiracy.
He was eventually detained in Berlin through diplomatic channels.
There are now possibilities that he could be taken to India for trial.
Multani, according to intelligence agencies, wanted anarchy in India.
