Kharge stated, “Today, the state carries a debt burden of ₹5 lakh crore. There was a time when there was no such burden. However, in the nine years since the BRS government assumed power, the narrative has shifted to one of mounting debt.”

The Congress leader reiterated his party’s commitment to fulfilling its promises, emphasizing their track record of implementation.“In Telangana, we have outlined six commitments, and we will see them through,” Kharge affirmed. He underscored the Congress’ history of initiatives that have directly benefited marginalized sections of society, particularly women.

Drawing attention to successful schemes in other states, Kharge noted, “In Karnataka, we’ve ensured free travel for women in state-owned transport corporation buses, fulfilling a pre-poll promise.”

Kharge extended an invitation to BRS leaders to visit Karnataka and witness firsthand the fulfillment of promises made by the Congress government there. He urged the BRS to uphold their own commitments, particularly the pledge to generate 2 lakh jobs annually.“Over nine years, this would have amounted to 18 lakh jobs.Has this materialized?” Kharge inquired.

Addressing national concerns, Kharge criticized the central BJP government, pointing out that corporate interests seemed to be prioritized.

He remarked on the unfulfilled promises of job creation and direct financial assistance to the poor.

In closing, Kharge assured the audience that the Congress remains steadfast in its commitment to realizing the vision of “Bangaru Telangana.” He affirmed, “Our six guarantees will transform the lives of the most vulnerable. We stand by our promises and will not be swayed by propaganda. We have delivered on commitments in Karnataka and will do the same in Telangana.”
