Notably, Infosys stands as the sole Indian company to secure a spot in TIME magazine’s esteemed 2023 list of the world’s 100 Best Companies, an impressive feat with a ranking of 64th.Furthermore, Infosys has earned the prestigious Global Top Employer 2023 certification across 22 countries spanning Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

In a strategic move to tap into talent pools, Infosys is establishing development centers in close proximity to areas abundant in skilled professionals.The company diligently evaluates various Tier 1 and 2 locations with robust educational infrastructures.

Over the years, Infosys has been establishing delivery centers in Tier 2 cities, such as Mangalore, Mysore, Trivandrum, Nagpur, Indore, Jaipur, Hubli, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, and Coimbatore, alongside its operations in Visakhapatnam.

The newly inaugurated development center in Visakhapatnam has the capacity to accommodate up to 1000 personnel.

Its interior design, inspired by the rhythmic waves of the sea, embodies a forward-looking hybrid workspace.

Employees at this center will be at the forefront of cutting-edge IT technologies, catering to global clients across various industry sectors, including financial services, energy, utility, and retail.

They will leverage technologies like Java, J2EE, SAP, data science, and data analytics.

A substantial proportion of the Infosys workforce here will be drawn from the city and its neighboring areas, affirms a company representative.

This launch is poised to directly influence industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in Visakhapatnam.It solidifies the city’s standing as a nucleus for emerging technologies, complementing its existing base of BPO/KPO and core IT companies.

Chief Minister Reddy also inaugurated Eugia Steriles Pvt Ltd, an endeavor backed by an investment of Rs 500 crore.

Nestled in Pharma City, this unit has generated 700 jobs and is geared to produce an impressive 300 million general injectable units annually.

Further, the inauguration of Laurus Labs, a SEZ in Atchutapuram, established with an investment of Rs 440 crore, has resulted in 500 employment opportunities.

Laurus Synthetics, valued at Rs 191 crore, has created 300 jobs.Additionally, the foundation stone has been laid for Laurus Labs, with a potential investment of Rs 240 crore, promising to create 400 jobs in the near future.

This marks a significant stride towards bolstering the pharmaceutical landscape in the region.
