Indo-American executive Maju Kuruvilla has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the San Francisco – based Fintech startup “Bolt”.
Also Bolt founder Ryan Breslo has taken on new responsibilities as executive chairman.Maju Kuruvilla, who worked for e-commerce giant Amazon for almost 8 years, joined Bolt as Chief Technology Officer in January last year.
He was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer in August.Kuruvilla graduated from Mangalore University, Karnataka with a degree in Computer Engineering.
He later received an MBA from the University of Washington.
Bolt is set to hire Kuruvilla as CEO, according to company founder Breslow via Twitter.
He was already praised for completely changing Bolt’s presidency through his efficiency.Breslow tweeted that he would no longer focus on more deals, acquisitions, fundraising, and work culture as executive chairman.
He, on the other hand, denied reports that he had resigned from Brescia.He made it clear that he was not going to leave Bolt and go anywhere.
TechCrunch estimates that Bold is currently in the process of raising funds.TechCrunch estimates the company is currently valued at 14 billion.
