The worst-hit state in India has reported 15,591 new cases of Covid-19 with 424 deaths listed on Friday.
With new numbers, the Maharashtrian tally rose to 14,16, 513.After America, India stood as the second worst-hit country of Covid-19, while it occupied third place in worldwide fatality rate after America and Brazil.
However, the Union Health Ministry informed that the active Covid-19 cases are under 10 lakh, eleventh day in a row.With the recovery rate of 83.70, India continues to be at the top place globally with the highest number of recovered patients.In a span of one day, India recorded 78,877 recovered cases which made the total tally as 53,52,078.
In a total, there were 9,42,217 active Covid-19 cases at present.
According to the Health Ministry, many states in the country have suppressed the effect of coronavirus in the past couple of months.
Nearly 14 states and UTs are said to be reported less than 5,000 cases recently.
