HSVP closes the amusement park in Gurugram due to pending dues

Gurugram 4th September : Gurugram, Sep 4 : Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) on Sunday signed the Appu Ghar amusement park in Gurugram’s Sector-29 over lease for dues of the sum of Rs 48.57 crores.
The due amount comprises lease rent of more than Rs 24.28 crore, as well as the equivalent amount of penalty for the past several years, officials said.

HSVP officials stated that the notices in 2015 and 2016, as well as 2017, 2021 and 2022 were sent to the management of the amusement parks regarding dues pending, but the management did not take action against the notices.

According to news reports, International Recreation and Amusement Ltd (IRAL) is the owner of the theme park as well as HSVP had signed an agreement in 2011.In the terms of the agreement, IRAL has taken over the theme park on a lease of 33 years and has to pay more than 48.57 crore as rent to HSVP from 2011 from 2011.

However, despite receiving numerous notices from the HSVP the amount due wasn’t paid by IRAL.

“IRAL was not able to pay a cent in the payment of the lease’s ground rent under the lease contract,” official sources said.

IRAL was in charge of the amusement park.IRAL was given numerous notices from HSVP to pay the outstanding debts, but management did not heed any of the notices, the officials said.

On September 2, HSVP administrator Jaspreet Kaur cancelled the lease agreement.Before the lease was cancelled, 30 days notice of show cause was issued to remedy the violations and in default to the business.

In addition there is a penalty of approximately the amount of 95.20 lakh due to the lack of the supply of water is in arrears against IRAL in the year 2016.This is due to HSVP at the time of August 31.

“The lease deed was canceled due to not paying of the fee.Notice was issued prior to the expiration of the lease.In accordance with the directives of the Chief Administrator HSVP The ownership of Amusement Park was taken on the Sunday of last week,” Sanjeev Singla, Estate Officer II, HSVP said.
