Rashmika Mandanna is celebrating her 27th birthday today, on April 5th.On this special occasion, an old interview of hers is circulating on the internet, where she spoke about almost not becoming an actress.After winning a beauty pageant, Rashmika was offered a leading role in a film.However, she thought it was a prank call and blocked the number.
In 2016, Rashmika made her acting debut in a Kannada film called Kirik Party, which was very successful.She won an award for best debut for her performance.
She then acted in two more Kannada films in 2017 before moving on to Telugu and Tamil films.
In a 2022 interview with Mashable India, Rashmika shared how she almost missed the opportunity to act in Kirik Party.
The production house had called her, but she thought it was a prank call, so she told them she wasn’t interested in acting and hung up.
She even blocked their number.But they were really interested in her for the role, so they reached out to her through friends and eventually contacted her class teacher.They convinced her to meet with them and audition for the role.
Despite Rashmika’s initial hesitation due to her lack of acting experience, she was chosen for the role after delivering some lines on camera.
Rashmika is known for her performance in Pushpa: The Rise (2021), a Telugu film.She made her Bollywood debut in 2022 with the film Goodbye, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta.The film was directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Ekta Kapoor.
It featured several supporting actors like Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta, Shivin Narang, Shayank Shukla, and Arun Bali.
