Haryana requires the conduct of an energy audit

Chandigarh 11 August : The Haryana government has mandated energy audits for consumers who consume between 100 and 1,000 KW of the load.

An official spokesperson stated that on Thursday a campaign had been initiated by the Department of New and Renewable Energy to conduct an energy audit for various kinds of consumers.When they get the energy audit, the department is informed of what steps they need to take to help get the most energy savings.

An energy audit provides information on the places where energy is used in excess of what is required.The spokesperson stated that for any consumer , other than government buildings with an electrical load of over 100 KW, and they are looking to conduct an energy audits of their building and the government will offer an amount of 50 percent and a maximum of Rs 50,000.

All building consumers with loads that range from 100 to 1000 KW are requested to get in touch with the Programme Officer with the Renewable Energy Department in the offices of the Additional Deputy Commissioner at the district level, so that an energy audit of their buildings can be completed.
