New Delhi, Aug 23 : Google has admitted that its TV software is slow for its users and, after listening to their feedback the company is rolling out major upgrades to boost efficiency and optimize storage.Chromecast with Google TV as well as on other smart TVs.The company claimed that through CPU optimizations and improvements in managing cache, “we’ve reduced the time it takes to get the Google TV home screen to load during startup so that you can begin browsing shows and movies more quickly.”

The company claimed that it has also improved navigation, meaning that scrolling within tabs and switching between tabs becomes much more fluid.
“The Live tab also loads faster, which means there’s lesser of the loading animations when switching between tabs.

Google also introduced improvements to image caching that will cut down on the time needed to switch to kids ‘ profiles and then to begin browsing content.
“We’ve eliminated the delay between loading a profile for kids to launching an app,” it said the company late on Monday.
The current number of apps is 10,000 on Google TV.
The “Free up storage” menu in the Settings will allow users to quickly delete cache and uninstall apps that they do not use which will maximize the storage space.
This feature has already been rolled across Chromecast with Google TV and is in an coming upgrade for the smart TV system with Google TV.
“We’ve also made a few under-the-hood modifications to the way Google TV manages app installation to ensure that less users experience errors related to storage when trying to install a new application,” Google said.Google.
