San Francisco, December 12, 2012 : .According to CEO Jim Farley, Ford plans to double the production capacity of its all-electric Mustang Mach E by next year and triple it by 2023 in order to satisfy the “incredible” demand.TechCrunch reports that this is TechCrunch’s first specific forecast for Mustang Mach E.
Ford announced in November it will increase the production of electric cars to 600,000.This goal would apply to F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach E as well as commercial E-transit vans.
Ford would have to reach 600,000.
This figure will double its production over the next two-years, according to the report.
Farley posted, “It is difficult to produce Mustang Mach Es quickly enough to meet this incredible demand.
But we are certain going to try,” Farley said.
“So starting in 2022 we are increasing production and expect to reach 200,000+ units per year for North America and Europe by 2023.That’s 3X our 2021 output,” he added.
Ford confirmed to TechCrunch that it will be able to increase the production capacity of the Mustang Mach E by building some of the vehicles at its factory in Cuautitlan, Mexico.
