Los Angeles, Sep 13 : Actress-singer Zendaya is the first Black woman to be awarded the Outstanding Leading Actress in Drama Series twice at the Primetime Emmy Awards.The 26-year-old actress won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in the Drama Series at the 74th annual Television Academy Awards for her performance in “Euphoria”.
She was nominated against actors such as Jodie Comer (‘Killing Eve’), Laura Linney (‘Ozark’), Melanie Lynskey (‘Yellowjackets’), Sandra Oh (‘Killing Eve’) as well as Reese Witherspoon (‘The Morning Show’).
The host was Kenan Thompson The 75th Emmy Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
In India it is aired on Lionsgate Play.
