New Delhi, 31 December : .The Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grieces and Pensions, has modified the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service, (IPS), and Indian Forest Service pay rules.
This provides a timetable for the filing of current and pending Immovable Property returns (IPR), to be empaneled or appointed to the next level.Three separate notifications have been issued by the DoPT for IAS, IPS, and IFoS.
The DoPT has issued a notice stating that “the member of the service must file the Immovable Property Report for the preceding year within the specified timeframe for this purpose. This will allow the member to be considered for appointment at the next pay level in the matrix.”
Notifications also stated that a service member who did not file an IPR in any year before the IAS, IPS, or IFoS came into effect must do so within the prescribed period by the Central government to be considered for the next pay level in the pay matrix.
These notifications bring about changes that will take effect on December 30, 2021.
The new amendment requires that officers in these services file IPRs in their cadre states if they are posted.
In the event of Central deputation, an officer must send a copy back to his or her parent cadre government.
A new amendment allows officers to file an pending IPR that was not filed for some reason. However, the IPR will not be filed and the officer will not be eligible to empanelment, as a former bureaucrat stated.
