AP Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that the employees should be held responsible for what the union leaders are saying about the PRC.Speaking to media at the Amravati office in Guntur district on Monday, Minister Botsa was incensed at the attitude of the unions.Angered, Minister Botsa said that the distance between the government and the employees was tolerable.The minister explained that he wanted to set up a committee with the ministers to clear up the myths among the employees and come for talks.
Minister Botsa said that the lower-level leaders came and gave a letter on three issues without getting the actual leaders.
The unions have stated they will not run in the by-elections.“Are they taking themselves lazily? We don’t even want to go to talks until they call,” Botsa said.Minister Botsa said that the employees are part of the government and the process will be done so that their salaries will come this month as per the new PRC.
According to union representitives, the new retirement plan is targeted at lower paid employees, leaving higher paid employees to enjoy the same benefits as before.The minister said alternative arrangements were being made to process salaries if Treasury employees did not co-operate.
Minister Botsa commented that the leaders of the unions had not spoken against the government and the ministers and that they should be held responsible for such remarks.
