‘BJP rewards hate speechers’, Owaisi on Suspended MLA Raja Singh’s revocation

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi took a stand against the BJPs decision to reinstate its Telangana MLA, T Raja Singh, whose suspension had been initiated last year for alleged derogatory remarks regarding Prophet Mohammed.

Owaisi didnt mince words, asserting that within Prime Minister Narendra Modis BJP, hate speech seemed to be the express lane to advancement.

In a tweet, he remarked, "@narendramodi has rewarded his dear fringe element.Quite sure that Nupur Sharma will also get her blessings from the PM.Hate speech is the fastest way to a promotion in Modi’s BJP." This biting commentary came hot on the heels of Singhs reinstatement.According to Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy, the partys leadership made the decision after considering Singhs response to the show cause notice served earlier.

Raja Singh, MLA from Goshamahal in Hyderabad, had faced suspension in August of the previous year, following contentious statements he had made about Islam and Prophet Mohammed in a video.The video was subsequently taken down from the social media platform it had been uploaded on.He was also detained under the Preventive Detention Act.However, in November 2022, the Telangana High Court nullified the PD Act charges against him, leading to his release on bail.In a heartfelt video message, Singh expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J P Nadda, General Secretary B L Santhosh, Union Minister and Telangana BJP unit chief Kishan Reddy, as well as other state leaders for reinstating him.He also extended his thanks for being granted the partys ticket to contest in the upcoming November 30 polls for the Goshamahal Assembly seat.
