Rama Rao pointed out the historical trend of parties exploiting Muslim sentiments for their own gains, often by portraying each other as adversaries.He stressed the importance of safeguarding their own interests and not falling prey to such divisive tactics.
Highlighting the present political landscape, Rama Rao expressed concerns about attempts to incite communal tensions.He emphasized that Telangana has enjoyed a period of peace and harmony over the last nine and a half years, contrasting with memories of curfews during festivals in his own upbringing.
With a perspective as a parent, he voiced worry about the environment in which children are growing up, particularly regarding increasing hostility towards Muslims, who constitute a significant portion of the country’s population.
Rama Rao also addressed the political dynamics, calling attention to allegations made by different parties.
