Avika Gor, known for her role in the popular TV show Balika Vadhu, recently shared that she had a protected experience on set and didn’t know about TRPs until her final week on the show.
Avika played the character of Anandi, a child bride, in Balika Vadhu, which was her debut as an actor.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she expressed her gratitude for being on a set where she felt well taken care of.Avika fondly recalled her time on Balika Vadhu, mentioning that she never felt like she was actually working because it was always enjoyable.Surprisingly, it was only in her final week on the show that she learned about TRPs and realized that they were a measure of their work’s success.
Avika’s family, who were unfamiliar with the industry, also had no knowledge of the significance of TRPs.Avika appreciated the support she received from the people on the sets of Balika Vadhu and Sasural Simar Ka, where she worked alongside Dipika Kakar.They protected her from the pressures of the industry.
Avika described the atmosphere on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka as being like a family.She praised Dipika Kakar for her honesty in providing feedback and helping her improve, even if it meant pointing out her mistakes.
Moving forward, Avika will be seen in the film 1920: Horrors of the Heart, produced by Vikram Bhatt.The movie, set to release on June 23, also stars Rahul Dev and Barkha Bisht.
