San Francisco, Aug 19 : Apple Podcasts has introduced two brand new chartsTop Subscriber Shows and Top Subscriber Channels — to highlight the most popular shows that are paid for. The updated charts are now available in the US, UK, Canada as well as Australia for iPhone, iPad, and Mac for listeners running iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 and macOS 12.5 or later.
“Listeners can search for Top Shows and Top Episodes, as well as Top Subscriber Shows and Top Subscriber Channels in the Browse tab or by going to the Charts page.
Both charts are updated every day,” the company said in an announcement.
Top Subscriber Shows allows listeners to get to know these shows.
Listeners can search for the 100 most popular shows in the subscription.
They include shows from all genres that provide subscribers with exclusive content as well as the first access to new episodes and bonus episodes, free listening and more premium experience.
Listeners can also find excellent subscription experiences by consuming groups of shows, referred to as channels.
Top Subscriber Channels lists the 100 most popular channels with an active subscription, and at least two shows.
The more viewers interact with episodes and shows in a subscription channel the more highly it ranks in this table.
