From now on, the house tax in Andhra Pradesh villages would be collected online.Recently, a mobile app was launched by State Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said that the house tax would be collected one hundred per cent in full transparency through the mobile app.
Peddireddy said data on about 86 lakh households in the villages of Andhra Pradesh had been collected, and the details were already linked to the app.Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said, “We are no longer completely abolishing house tax collection in the villages under the manual system.”
The minister said that as soon as the tax is paid online, the receipt will be made online, and the receipt will be immediately sent to the concerned mobile number of the taxpayer.He also explained that the details of how much tax has been paid by the homeowners and how much is yet to be paid will be sent directly to the taxpayers in the respective panchayats through SMS from time to time.
