Former Chief MInister and Telugu Desam Party Supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu would visit the irrigation projects, mainly those in an incomplete state in the Rayalaseema region, from August 1.
He expressed serious concern that all the irrigation projects in the state have been stalled, Chandrababu Naidu asked how the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government can be expected to construct projects while it is unable to maintain even the canals.
TDP politburo member Kalava Srinivasulu told the media on Friday that Naidu would be visiting the irrigation projects and connecting canals.
“Not even a single irrigation project with 90 per cent completion during the TDP rule has progressed further during the four years of the YSRC rule.Farmers are suffering due to this,” he said.
Chandrababu touring the Rayalaseema region would be in Kurnool, Kadapa and Anantapur areas on August 1.“He will visit the Handri Neeva project canals and other connecting projects in Kurnool district and the Gandikota reservoir and its surrounding areas to interact with farmers and others who are still unable to get the rehabilitation facility,” the TDP leader said.
Naidu will reach Anantapur on August 3 and visit the BT project and Peruru Project as the expansion works that had been sanctioned during the TDP term remained “neglected.”
