Jonathan Majors, an American actor known for his roles in Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, was arrested in Manhattan on Saturday for allegedly assaulting and strangling his girlfriend during a domestic dispute.According to the police, Majors was taken into custody around 11:15 a.m.near West 22nd Street and 8th Avenue in Chelsea after the police received a 911 call from the victim.
The victim, who suffered minor injuries to her head and neck, told the police that she had been assaulted by Majors during an argument in a taxi on their way back from a bar in Brooklyn.As per the policr reports, the victim has a cut behind her ear and marks on her face that look red.The police took her to the hospital, but she is now okay.
The police report stated that the victim and Majors were in a relationship and that Majors got angry when she saw him texting another woman.
When she tried to confront him and take a look at his phone, he allegedly grabbed her hand, slapped her, and put his arms around her neck.
Majors was taken into custody without incident, and the police found enough evidence for probable cause to arrest him.Later that day, he was let go by the police and now he’s no longer in their custody.A representative for the actor denied any wrongdoing by Majors and said they were looking forward to clearing his name.
This year, Jonathan Majors appeared in Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.He also presented at the Oscars two weeks prior to his arrest.
