Interestingly, during the filming of the wedding scene, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia had already tied the knot in real life.While shooting, Ranveer Singh went down on his knees, just like Ranbir did during their actual wedding ceremony when Alia was searching for someone to lift her up for the Varmala ritual.
Alia expressed her gratitude that her real-life wedding was simple, unlike the elaborate reel wedding where she wore a heavy lehenga and felt relieved she didn’t have to do it all over again.
Alia shared an unforgettable moment when someone in the scene said, ‘ladka aage jaata hai’ (the groom leads in the phere ritual), and she playfully responded that she had just done it in real life.
Ranveer added that the most fulfilling experience was watching the film with his wife Deepika Padukone.She loved his Kathak dance sequence and her reaction made it a truly memorable movie-watching experience for him.
