As tribute to the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the Government considering to name a road after his name
Labour minister Danam Nagender has asked the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to name the Annapurna Studio road after Akkineni Nageswara Rao and also requested to install his statue at Film Nagar.
Nagender has laid the foundation stone to build a road from Banjara Hills, Road No.2 to Jubliee Hills, Road No.5, which exactly passes oppositely to the Annapurna Studios owned by the Akkineni family.This road will be named after the celluloid’s greatest star.The estimated cost of this road around Rs.7.20 crores.
Nagendar also requested Mayor M.Majid Hussain to take up the issue in the standing committee meeting.With this new road, traffic from Krishna Nagar and part of traffic between Banjara Hills to Jubilee Hills will be diverted to this road.
The Labour Minister recalled his memories with ANR and expressed that this will be the ideal tribute to the late matinee idol
