After a long debate the party politburo, the TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu announced the party candidates for two Rajya Sabha seats.After several brainstorming sessions Babu opted Garikapati Rammohan and Thota Sitaramalakshmi as final choice
Babu decision not goes well with several senior leaders like Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Motkupalli Narasimhulu and Nandamuri Harikrishan who pinned hopes on the seats
Narasimhulu was very hopeful of getting the seat as he is an SC and one of the senior party leaders from Telangana region.
Ex-MP Nandamuri Hari Krishna who is away from party affairs these days also attended the meeting but later walked out of it midway.
Telugu Desam currently has 74 MLAs with which it can bag 2 Rajya Sabha seats comfortably.
Other side , Congress also finalized the Rajya Sabha nominees for the upcoming elections.As expected before.
former aide of YSR ,KVP Ramachandra Rao has been listed as the Congress candidate for Rajyasabha.The two other politicians of Andhra Pradesh who are contestants for Upper House are T.Subbarami Reddy and M.A Khan.The elections will take place on February 7th.
