The legendary actor Rajinikanth and the prolific producer Sajid Nadiadwala are joining forces for the first time for a new film project.The news was announced by the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Nadiadwala Grandson, the production house of Nadiadwala.
The post also shared a picture of Rajinikanth and Nadiadwala smiling together.The caption said: “It’s a true honour to collaborate with the legendary @rajinikanth Sir! Anticipation mounts as we prepare to embark on this unforgettable journey together!”
The news was also confirmed by the film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who posted the same picture on his social media platforms.He wrote: “BIGGG NEWS… RAJINIKANTH – SAJID NADIADWALA TO COLLABORATE FOR NEW MOVIE… Producer #SajidNadiadwala is collaborating with #Rajinikanth for the first time for a film project… More details soon.”
Rajinikanth is one of the most popular and respected actors in Indian cinema.He has a huge fan following across the world and has acted in more than 160 films in various languages.His last appearance was in Lal Salaam, a sports drama film directed by his daughter Aishwaryaa.
The film, which released on February 9, featured Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles, while Rajinikanth had an extended cameo.However, the film did not perform well at the box office and received negative reviews from the critics and the audience.Rajinikanth’s previous film, Jailer, was a blockbuster hit in 2023 and received critical acclaim for his performance.
Sajid Nadiadwala is one of the most successful and influential filmmakers in Bollywood.
He started his career as a producer in 1992 with Zulm Ki Hukumat and has since produced more than 50 films in various genres.He has also directed three films, including the hit comedy Kick.
Some of his notable films as a producer include Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Houseful, Baaghi, Chhichhore, and Super 30.
His most recent film was Bawaal, a romantic comedy starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles.The film was released in 2024 and received positive reviews from the critics and the audience.His upcoming film is the fifth installment of the Houseful franchise, which is a comedy series starring Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles.
