Speaking to the media at Tanuku on Wednesday, the minister alleged that Lokesh, as part of his ongoing Yuvagalam, had conspired to cause violence by involving his team of volunteers who were having rowdy sheets opened against them as they started attacking the people and the police personnel.

He said that when similar incidents took place at Nuziveedu and Nidapaneedu, the police arrested the culprits. The minister blamed Lokesh for deliberately instigating violence by tearing the flexi banner set up by their party supporters at Bhimavaram and when it was replaced by the local MLA, he started abusing the legislator and provoked his team of volunteers to attack the people with sticks and stones.

He said that out of five to six police personnel who were injured in the attack, one was in serious condition.

Alleging that both the son Lokesh and his father Chandrababu Naidu were frustrated, he asked them what was their purpose by touring the state and said that as Naidu received IT notice on undisclosed income received in the form of kickbacks worth Rs 118 crore for development of Amaravati, his son Lokesh was also involved in it and added that it was causing them to create unrest to divert the people’s attention.
