Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said in spite of hurdles created by the opposition, the state government distributed the house sites to 50,793 beneficiaries at CRDA layouts at Krishnayapalem of Guntur district.
He declared Amaravati as Samajika Amaravati which belongs to all.He performed the bhumi pooja, set the foundation stone and unveiled the pylon for the construction of 50,793 houses at Krishnayapalem on Sunday.
The giant housing project is aimed at benefiting economically weaker sections in the Amaravati region.CM Jagan said the government will construct the houses at a cost of Rs.1370 crore and complete the construction within six months and added that the government finalised the tenders to supply drinking water at a cost of Rs.32 crore.
He said, the government will spend Rs.326 crore for supplying the power to the houses. The Chief Minister handed over the pattas to the beneficiaries.
During this event, CM Jagan stated that anti-poor are his government’s enemies.He said the anti-poor are worried about his government’s actions.
Arousing the sentiment of Amaravati, CM Jagan said today marks history in Amaravati’s life story.He said Amaravati is ‘Samajika Amaravati’ i.e ‘Social Amaravati’ and it is for all people.He said gone are the days of bearing the dominance and looting of those working for self-interests.
CM Jagan said this change is going to dictate the future of politics of Andhra Pradesh state.He called the end of the era of the looters.
